Well + Good is
A labor of love that has grown over the past 10 years. My wellness journey started with me writing a list called "10 Ways to Get Happy." This memo for self-preservation included reminders to meditate, go to therapy, spend time with positive people, move because it feels good, and—ding ding ding!—to eat well. That simple list evolved into more lists, recipes, challenges, and how-to’s to better navigate mental health challenges, disordered eating habits, and trauma.

Since The Happy List, my understanding of health and wellness has expanded in ways I never could have imagined. Through my education in dietetics and nursing, my experience working in public health, earning my Public Health Nurse certification, and now working as a cardiac nurse, I’ve come to see just how deeply interconnected our well-being truly is. Nutrition, movement, mental health, and overall wellness are not separate pieces—they are woven together, influencing and shaping each other in complex ways.

With positivity, balance, and flexibility as my guiding intentions, I have healed my own relationship with food and movement. Now, I am passionate about helping others do the same—supporting them not just with science and strategy, but with empathy and an understanding of their whole, unique selves.

Nice to Meet You! I'm Rach, your Registered Nurse & Holistic Nutrition Coach
RACHEL HOWELL
I am a compassionate, driven individual who finds immense joy in helping others achieve wellness through nutrition and lifestyle changes. I strive to live a life of peace, balance, and flexibility, always anchored in gratitude. I am a registered nurse specializing in cardiology, with a strong background in the interconnectedness of cardiac conditions. My dual expertise in nursing and nutrition allows me to not only teach you how to prevent heart-related health issues but also to support you in managing your nutrition and lifestyle after experiencing a cardiac event or receiving a heart-related diagnosis. Whether you're looking to strengthen your heart health or navigate life after a diagnosis, I’m here to help you make sustainable, empowering changes that truly make a difference. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Concordia University St. Paul (CSP) and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Colorado State University (CSU). At CSP, I was honored with the Florence Nightingale Award, recognizing one student per graduating class for exceptional clinical performance, compassion, and leadership. I also earned a place on the Dean’s List in my final semester. At CSU, I graduated in the top 20% of my class, served as president of Tau Sigma Honor Society for Transfer Students, and achieved Dean’s List honors both semesters of my senior year. Following graduation, I stepped into the role of director at a thriving holistic nutrition center in the heart of my community. There, I guided hundreds of individuals in building sustainable, healthy lifestyles they love and feel great about. This experience deepened my passion for working one-on-one with people from all walks of life, ultimately leading me to nursing—a calling that allows me to further comfort, care for, and educate others. While I am deeply passionate about nursing and the vast world of food science and human nutrition, my greatest fulfillment comes from helping others cultivate a positive, nourishing relationship with food and movement. I know I’ve done my job well when my clients discover joy in exercise, peace in meditation, and true satisfaction in a balanced, wholesome diet. Let’s get you well!
